I was offered the opportunity to read a novella called I was offered the opportunity to read a novella called PRINCESS OF THE SHADOWS, and I’m delighted that I dipped a toe into this delicious fantasy story! The enjoyment I felt from entering the world where Lili Corvyna, a princess who is most kind, and Kanji, a Khorrum barbarian who is most skilled has been lasting and uplifting. Their interactions—while trying to find the rising power—were realistic and relatable, though they are in a fantasy land.
 
Kanji uses a secret ability that is foreign to Lili’s people, and I liked that they had to get to know one another and the cultures of their separate people groups.
